April Showers Bring Yet Another Blog Challenge?
Remember my last post when I mentioned liking blog challenges? Well, I've gotten myself into one again--a month-long one. I saw that A Helicopter Mom is doing it and I got curious, so I pressed the button with the apple. They got me! I read the challenge details and signed up without knowing anything really about the hosts. It sounds easy enough, except I will be doing near daily posts again. So much for chillaxin' for a while. That's what I get for being tempted by a piece of fruit.
Without further ado . . . (since it starts today and it's almost tomorrow which will be a new today)
A is for April Showers
It poured today. Poured! Seattleites are accustomed to rain. It used to be the thing for Seattlites not to use umbrellas. Well, I use them now and apparently everyone else does, too, because I saw them in scores.
My one consolation? Seeing my garden bloom. I delight in seeing pretty daffodils standing proudly amongst soggy griege plants (that need some serious deadheading). A co-worker who moved here from Utah last May asked us if the saying "April Showers Bring May Flowers" applies doubly here. He received a chorus of "Yes!" along with some "April and May Showers Bring June and July flowers."
So there's my "A". Come back tomorrow for "B"! I might even update this post with pics of my daffodils.
Tada!
